LSAT Score Calculator
This LSAT score calculator gives the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) percentile rank of any score from 120 to 180: the percent of 2023–2026 scores below it.

Good to know
- What the percentile counts: Scores below yours, the same as GRE.
- LSAC's percentile rank counts only scores lower than yours, not ties, so no score reaches 100: a 180 sits at 99.85% in the 2023–2026 table, and the whole-number rank tops out at 99.
- First-time test takers get no score until LSAT Argumentative Writing is done and approved, and LSAC says processing can take up to three weeks. It opens eight days before your test date, so finishing it early keeps your score on schedule.
Common questions
How to calculate LSAT score
LSAC counts your correct answers on the three scored sections, with every question weighted the same and no deduction for wrong answers. It converts that raw score to the 120–180 scale so that scores from different administrations can be compared, and it publishes no conversion for the live test, so start from the scaled score on your report.
What is a good LSAT score?
LSAC reports a percentile rank with every score: the percentage of test takers whose scores were lower during the previous three testing years. On its table for the 2023–2026 testing years, 150 is the 37th percentile, 155 the 54th, 165 the 85th and 170 the 94th.
How often does LSAC update its percentile table?
Every year by the end of July. The current table covers the 2023–2024, 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 testing years.
How long can an LSAT result be reported?
For the testing year it was earned plus up to five more testing years, each running July to June.

LSAT percentiles for every score from 120 to 180
Each row is the percent of scores that were lower than that score, so no score reaches 100, and 120, the lowest score, shows 0th: no score is below it. Source table: LSAC percentile table, 2023–2026 testing years (whole numbers).

How LSAT scores and percentile ranks work
LSAC counts your correct answers on the three scored sections (every question counts the same and wrong answers cost nothing) and converts that raw score to the 120–180 scale, so scores from different administrations can be compared. Your percentile rank is then read from LSAC's table for the last three testing years.
Percentile rank = LSAC's table value for your scaled score (the percent of scores lower than yours)
- Find your scaled score (120–180) on your LSAT score report.
- Look it up in LSAC's percentile table for the 2023–2026 testing years.
- Read the rank as the percent of scores that were lower than yours.
From LSAC's percentile table for the 2023–2026 testing years
- Scaled score: 160
- LSAC table: 71.06% of scores were lower (71 as a whole number)
A 160 is at the 71st percentile.
What this doesn't account for
- Converting correct answers to the 120–180 scale: LSAC publishes no conversion for the live test.
- The score band LSAC prints around your score.
