Editorial Policy

What we publish

Tools that work out an answer from published, official rules: grades, GPAs, test scores, reading fluency and school-year dates. Each page shows its sources and the date it was last checked. See How we verify.

What we do not publish

• Admission chances or predictions about whether anyone will get into a school or program.
• Advice about eligibility for programs, scholarships, enlistment or jobs.
• Medical, legal, tax or financial advice.
• Numbers we cannot trace to an official source. Where a rule is not published, we say so.

Independence

CountOnTools is not affiliated with any school, test maker or organization named on the site. No one pays to be included, to be described a certain way, or to change a number. If the site carries ads or affiliate links in the future, they will be labeled, kept apart from the tool and its answer, and listed on the affiliate disclosure.

Names and trademarks

Test, school and organization names are trademarks of their owners. We use them in plain text only to say what a tool is about. We do not use their logos.

Our own words

We restate published rules and figures in our own words and our own tables, and link to the original source.

Updates

When a source changes or a reader reports a mistake, we check the source and update the page.
